Description
Zweigeltrebe Fladnická 2021 from Vinařství Thaya in Znojmo is a dry red Moravian wine from the single vineyard Fladnická, 0.75 l bottle.
On the nose cherry in dark chocolate, dried plum and a tobacco note. On the palate medium, juicy tannins, pronounced acidity, peppery finish, Zweigelt with longer ageing than the basic line, around nine months in oak. The barrel is subdued, it doesn't dominate the fruit.
Open it with roast duck and red cabbage, game with porcini, beef goulash and mature cheddar.
The single vineyard Fladnická is one of the better parcels in Thaya's portfolio.
