Description
Chardonnay 2023 from Vinařství Thaya in Znojmo, dry white from the Moravian appellation, 0.75 l bottle, fermented in steel with no oak contact.
On the nose green apple, pear and a hint of almond skin. On the palate medium-bodied, fresh acidity, no buttery malolactic note, citrusy and clean finish. This is Chardonnay in the Moravian style, not in the Meursault mould.
Goes with chicken fillets in lemon sauce, chanterelle risotto and comté on a board.
Thaya farms its vineyard near Znojmo under a certified organic regime.
