Pesecká Leánka 2023

Pesecká Leánka 2023 from Vinařství Kanich in the Pezinok region is a Slovak dry white wine, 0.75 l bottle. An autochthonous grape variety, almost absent outside the Little Carpathians.

On the nose green apple, linden blossom and white pepper. On the palate light, sharp, straightforward acidity, short and herbal finish, Leánka smells floral but on the palate it is austere and chalky, a classic Pezinok style.

Pairs with herring in cream, savoury dill cheesecake and white sausage with horseradish.

Kanich bottles Leánka as a separate series; the Little Carpathians region's winemaking traditions date back to the Middle Ages.
