Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 from the Kanich winery in Pezinok is a Slovak dry red from the Malé Karpaty appellation, 0.75 l bottle.

On the nose blackcurrant, blackberry and a hint of dried tobacco leaf in the background. On the palate medium-bodied, with firm and still slightly rough tannins, leading acidity, long finish with a note of cedar wood from a short stay in old oak.

Serve with roast pork neck in red wine sauce, rosemary lamb or smoked oscypek with cranberry compote.

Pezinok lies on the border between the continental and Pannonian climates; Kanich harvests Cabernet late, only after the first cool October nights.
