Irsai Oliver 2023 from Vinařství Kanich in the Pezinok region is a Slovak dry white, 0.75 l bottle. Irsai Oliver is a cross grape variety created in Hungary, popular today in the Little Carpathians.
On the nose, elderflower, fresh rose and mandarin; Irsai smells loudly, like Muškát Moravský, but on the palate it takes a different path. On the palate, light, straightforward acidity, short floral finish. A classic summer wine, for the fridge.
Open with peach tart, watermelon and feta salad and Asian cuisine with lemongrass.
Kanich works the vineyards of the Little Carpathians near Pezinok.
