Pesecká Leánka 2022 from Kanich winery in Pezinok is a Slovak semi-sweet white wine made from the Leánka grape variety from Little Carpathian vineyards, 0.75 l bottle.
On the nose yellow rennet apple, linden honey and elderflower blossom. On the palate smooth, with moderate sweetness straightened by pronounced acidity; medium-long and slightly herbal finish, without the heaviness typical of cheaper semi-sweet wines.
Pairs with Krakow cheesecake with raisins, goose liver on toast or a blue cheese such as Roquefort with honey.
Leánka is a historic grape variety of the Pezinok region; Kanich grows it on old vines below the village of Pezinok, where the chalky subsoil imparts distinct minerality.
