On the nose damask rose, lychee and candied orange peel. On the palate round and deep, sweetness pronounced but guided by fresh acidity, long finish with a rose note and a lightly spicy accent from the crossing of Tramín with Müller-Thurgau.
Pairs with Kraków cheesecake with dried fruit, with goose liver on toast or with blue cheese of the Niva type with honey.
Pálava is a Czech signature grape variety bred in the 1950s in Pavlovice; Václav grows it in a warmer valley below Kurdějov.
