Magister Sauvignon Blanc 2023 from Vinařství Václav in Hustopeče is a Moravian dry white from the Velkopavlovická appellation, 0.75 l bottle.
On the nose, gooseberry, blackcurrant and the grassy note of freshly mown meadow typical of the grape variety. On the palate, taut and precise, crisp acidity, long finish with a herbal nettle accent and a mineral pull from the limestone bedrock beneath Kurdějov.
Serve with salmon tartare with dill, asparagus with lemon butter, or young goat's cheese on toast.
