On the nose, lime zest, linden blossom and wet limestone. On the palate, taut and flinty, acidity sharp as a knife, long finish with a bitter grapefruit peel aftertaste that gently dries the palate.
Open with pan-fried trout with almonds, herring in linseed oil or young goat's cheese with acacia honey.
Václav grows Riesling on a limestone plot in Kurdějově; the Magister line includes only limited cuvées from old vines.
