Virebo Terroir Chardonnay Rulandské Bílé pozdní sběr 2022 from Vinařství Maňák Štěpán in Žádovice is a Moravian semi-dry white from the Slovácká appellation, 0.75 l bottle.
On the nose, yellow apple, roasted hazelnut and a delicate note of toasted oak. On the palate, rounded and deep, with a touch of residual sugar hidden behind the phenolics; calm acidity, long, creamy finish with a note of crushed biscuit.
Goes with roast chicken with garlic butter, porcini risotto or aged Comté.
Maňák ferments this cuvée partly in 500-litre wood and blends the two varieties only before bottling.
