Barrique Alibernet pozdní sběr 2020 from Maňák Štěpán in Žádovice is a Moravian dry red from the Slovácká appellation, barrel-aged, 0.75 l bottle.

On the nose blackberry, ink and dried tobacco leaf. On the palate dense and deep purple, with full tannins already rounded after five years from harvest; long, slightly bitter finish with a graphite note.

Open with game in juniper sauce, braised beef with mushrooms or a hard cheese such as pecorino stagionato.

Alibernet is a Slovak cross of Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon; Maňák has 0.3 hectares with southern exposure.
