On the nose, pitted cherry, black elderberry and a hint of cigar wrapper. On the palate, juicy with fine-grained tannins and leading acidity; a peppery finish with a mineral note of iron that Slovácká often leaves in young Frankovkas.

Open it with game and porcini mushrooms, liver with caramelised onions, or pork knuckle with horseradish.

Maňák harvests Frankovka from two parcels; grapes from the younger one go into this line in the unoaked version.
