Veltlínské Zelené & Sauvignon 2019 from the Bukovský winery below the village of Kobylí is a Moravian semi-dry white from the Velkopavlovická appellation, a blend of two classic grape varieties, bottle 0.75 l.

On the nose green apple, gooseberry and white pepper in the background, a mature profile after six years in bottle. On the palate medium-round with discreet residual sweetness, calm but present acidity, long herbal finish with a note of dried hay.

Serve with pierogi with white cheese and chives, roast pork with marjoram or goat cheese with acacia honey.

Bukovský kept this blend in the archive because of the warm 2019 vintage; the wine today develops mature notes not found in fresh versions.
