Pálava & Tramín Červený 2021 from Bukovský winery below the village of Kobylí is a Moravian semi-sweet white from the Velkopavlovická appellation, a blend of two aromatic grape varieties, 0.75 l bottle.
On the nose: rose petals, lychee and candied orange peel. On the palate: smooth, sweetness pronounced but not cloying, acidity leads the flavour to a lightly spiced finish; medium length with a rosy aftertaste.
Serve with cheesecake with dried fruit, goose liver on toast or mature blue cheese with acacia honey.
Bukovský blends these two grape varieties in a ratio close to 60 to 40 in favour of Pálavy; the older 2021 vintage still holds fresh thanks to low pH.
