Description
Dunaj 2020 from the Bukovský vineyards is a Moravian dry red from a Slovak signature grape variety, Velkopavlovická appellation below Kobylí, 0.75 l bottle.
On the nose: blackberry, damson plum and a hint of cocoa. On the palate: dense and dark, with firm but well-rounded tannins after four years from harvest; medium acidity, long and meaty finish.
Open with pork ribs in barbecue sauce, rosemary lamb, or aged Cheddar with red onion confit.
Dunaj is a cross of Muškát Bouvier × Oporto × Svatovavřinecké; rarely grown in the Czech Republic, Bukovský has it in a single row.
