Furmint 2023

Furmint 2023 from vineyards in the Slovak part of the Tokaj region is a semi-sweet white from the Furmint grape variety, 0.75 l bottle.

On the nose yellow apple, linden honey and a hint of dried apricot. On the palate medium round with pronounced residual sweetness held upright by the high acidity typical of Furmint from Tokaj's volcanic slopes; long finish with a mineral pull.

Serve with goose liver on toast, with Kraków cheesecake or with mature blue cheese of the Roquefort type.

Furmint is the flagship grape variety of the Tokaj region; the Slovak side follows the same appellation rules as the Hungarian one, but the wines are still twice as cheap.
