6 putňový výběr 2003 from the Slovak part of the Tokaj appellation is an archival white wine in the dessert category, 0.5 l bottle, twenty years of ageing in cellars above the Bodrog.

Amber colour has already turned to deep topaz. On the aroma crème brûlée cream, dried fig, passion fruit and a clear trace of Indian curry developed in this long oxidation. Texture almost liqueur-like, acidity despite the years holds the balance, finish literally multi-minute with bitter nutty resin.

Open with pear tarte tatin, long-aged Comté, or after dinner instead of cognac, in a tulip glass.

The 6 putňový class requires adding six baskets of noble-rotten fruit to the base barrel; three bottles of this vintage came into our hands from a private cellar in Malá Trňa.
