Samorodé slámové víno 2015
Description
Samorodné slámové víno 2015 from the Slovak part of the Tokaj region is a sweet white made from the Furmint grape variety, 0.5 l bottle.
On the nose, dried apricot, sultana raisin and linden honey with a slightly nutty note from long ageing. On the palate, dense and sticky but carried by the high acidity of Furmint, with a very long finish and a caramel ending that is absent in younger vintages.
Open with goose liver, pear and blue cheese tart, or mature cheddar with cranberry compote.
Samorodné means a harvest of ordinary grapes with a proportion of cibébového grapes; slámové adds straw drying, which is why the 2015 vintage aged in the cellar for over eight years.
