3 putňový výběr 2017 from the Slovak part of the Tokaj region is a boutique sweet white wine, a blend of Furmint and Lipovina, 0.5 l bottle.
On the nose dried apricot, buckwheat honey and candied orange peel with a creamy afterglow from eight years of ageing. On the palate dense and sticky, sweetness pronounced but guided by fresh acidity, very long finish with a note of nutty resin.
Serve with goose liver on toast, ripe blue cheese, or a white chocolate dessert.
The 3 putňový class means adding three baskets of cibébového grapes to the base barrel; eight years of ageing gave the 2017 vintage a mature, composed profile.
