Ryzlink rýnský pozdní sběr 2019 from the Šalša vineyards below Kyjov is a dry Moravian white from the Slovácká appellation, "pozdní sběr" category (late harvest), 0.75 l bottle.

On the nose: acacia honey, dried apricot and a petrol note typical of mature Riesling. On the palate: taut, mineral, acidity drives a long stony finish; five years in bottle have given the Riesling time to develop characteristic petrol notes.

Pairs with pikeperch in butter, duck with apples and grilled oscypek with cranberries.

Šalša holds back older vintages of Ryzlink as a reserve; this vintage is the last cases from the cellar.
