Frizzante Ryzlink Rýnský 2023

Frizzante Ryzlink Rýnský 2023 from the Vino Hruška vineyard below Blatnička is a Moravian dry white perlivé from the Slovácká appellation, 0.75 l bottle, with lower pressure than classic sekt.

Fine, persistent mousse, greenish colour. The aroma leads with lemon zest, ripe quince and the flinty minerality typical of Riesling from the sandy soils below Blatnička. After a sip, sharp tension, saline note and a long finish with a bitter hint of almond kernel.

Great with oysters and lemon, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, or as an opening glass for a dinner with goose liver pâté.

Hruška makes this version using the Charmat method with longer lees ageing than the rest of the sparkling line, hence more body on the palate.
