Description
Isiko Sauvignon Blanc 2023 from Iwayini, from the vineyard below Pavlov, is a Moravian dry white from the Velké Pavlovice appellation, 0.75 l bottle.
On the nose, gooseberry, blackcurrant and the grassy note of freshly mown meadow typical of the grape variety. On the palate, taut and precise, with sharp acidity and a long finish with an herbal nettle aftertaste and a mineral pull from the limestone beneath the Pavlov Hills.
Pairs with salmon tartare with dill, asparagus with lemon butter, or young goat's cheese with thyme.
Iwayini limits ageing for this line to stainless steel, which is why Isiko Sauvignon keeps a clean grassy profile without a buttery barrel in the background.
