Chardonnay výběr z hroznů 2021 from the Skalák winery near Kyjov is a Moravian semi-dry white from the Slovácká appellation, 0.75 l bottle.

On the nose, yellow apple, Williams pear and a delicate hazelnut note from a short stay in old oak. On the palate, rounded and rich, discreet residual sweetness, calm acidity, long finish with a slightly buttery end.

Open with chicken fillet in butter sauce, risotto with parmesan and mushrooms or mature comté cheese.

For this Chardonnay, Skalák uses only old second-fill barrels, so the wood does not cover the fruity character of the 2021 vintage.
